Nearly 9 years ago, without any expectations and nothing to lose, I joined a 10-session pottery class in Ghent with ceramiste Jolien Holvoet. The love for the throwing wheel and clay flared up immediately which lead to a search for ceramics studios in my area. I remember my first lesson in the studio of Françoise Busin - Keramika - with ceramiste Caroline Kesteleyn like it was yesterday. And until today, I still enjoy throwing at Atelier Aimée of Sybille Segers (Sybille Keramiek) and Caroline Kesteleyn (Caro-K).

My work is characterised by the use of texturised clay and the absence of glaze in a large portion of the surface of my pieces. Straight lines and simple forms allow me to focus on the clay body itself, and experiment with texture and tone. My goal is to highlight the natural beauty of the clay in all my ceramic pieces.

I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love and I hope my love for this translates into my pieces.

My handmade ceramics are meant to be used and enjoyed daily, to bring beauty and functionality to your home.
